What if I Cannot Have Implants and/or do not Want a Full Arch of implants in an All-on-X Procedure?
For patients who can’t undergo or choose to avoid implants or All-on-X, we offer fixed, non-removable alternatives: full or partial arch reconstructions using splinted crowns on natural teeth.
Many patients prefer not to have a removable appliance or cannot have implants due to bone limitations or personal choice. We provide alternative solutions by fabricating splinted crowns on existing teeth, creating a stable, full-arch reconstruction without implants.
Patient’s Story
Mrs. B was referred by her periodontist after her three upper left implants failed, leaving no bone to support replacements (Fig. 1). She explicitly did not want a denture or All-on-X. To meet her needs, we designed and placed a full arch of meticulously splinted crowns on her natural teeth (Fig. 2), delivering a fixed prosthesis with excellent long-term prognosis. X-rays at six years confirm the reconstruction remains stable (Fig. 3).
